We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed. But in everything, as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves:
by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardships, by pressures,
by beatings, by imprisonments, by riots,
by sleepless nights,
by times of hunger,
by purity, by knowledge, by patience,
by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
by the message of truth, by the power of God,
through weapons of righteousness on the right hand and the left,
through glory and dishonor,
through slander and good report;
as deceivers yet true;
as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look-we live;
as being chastened yet not killed;
as grieving yet always rejoicing;
as poor yet enriching many;
as having nothing yet possessing everything.
2 Corinthians 6
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
1 Corinthians 13:11
It is well with my soul.
Peace be still.
The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his names sake.
Make allowances for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offended you. Remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Christ is all that matters.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-18
I love the Lord because he heard my voice and my supplications. Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call upon him as long as I live.
Cast all your care upon him, for he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6
You are precious and I love you.
Let light shine out of darkness.
1 Corinthians 4:6
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
II Corinthians 4:16-17
I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.
II Kings 20:5
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.”
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
